PAYBACK TIME

The Oilers and Mavericks battle for the second time in five days with Missouri holding a 1-0 edge in the season series. On Halloween the two sides met at the BOK Center and the Mavericks skated away with a 4-3 overtime victory. Tulsa forward Adam Pleskach recorded his third career hat-trick and Missouri defenseman Martin Lee scored a pair of power play goals including the OT game-winner. The Oilers are concluding a three-game home stand while the Mavericks are at the end of a five-game road swing.

LEAGUE LEADER

In only five games, Adam Pleskach has scored seven times and is tied for the ECHL lead in goals. The second-year pro out of Beausejour, Manitoba has taken only 21 shots to record seven goals and is +3 on the season. Pleskach had seven multi-goal games during his 2013-14 rookie campaign and led all Central Hockey League rookies with 33 goals. In 66 games as an Oiler, the 26-year old right-winger has scored 40 goals and registered 67 points.

PK TURNAROUND

After allowing at least one power play goal in each of their first four games, the Oilers penalty kill unit clamped down on the Thunder on Sunday. Tulsa successfully eliminated all six Wichita power plays including a 4-on-3 advantage in the final minute of overtime.

ROOKIE RELIABILITY

Kevin Carr has been the goalie of record in all five games this season and has played 87-percent of the total minutes. In his first full professional season, the Unionville, Ontario native is 3-1-1 with a 2.86 goals against average and an .898 save percentage. Since surrendering six goals on opening night, Carr has given up just four goals in the last 83 shots he has faced.

HOLDING UP AT HOME

Tulsa is one of only seven teams in the ECHL without a regulation home loss. The Oilers are 2-0-1 at the BOK Center and are off to their best home start since the 2009-10 season. Each of the three home games has been decided beyond regulation with two contests decided in overtime and one in a shootout.

JONNY BE GOOD

Center Jon Booras is tied for the league lead with eight assists in his first five games as an Oiler. The 31-year old has already posted three multi-assist performances and is the only player on the Tulsa roster to register a four-point game this season.

FREQUENT SINNERS

The Oilers rank third in the ECHL with an average of 24.8 penalty minutes per game. Tulsa has been shorthanded 26 times through five games while enjoying just 18 power play opportunities.
