
Mavericks Sign Brandon Hynes

Independence, MO (Nov. 4, 2014) - Missouri Mavericks announced on Tuesday that the club has acquired forward Brandon Hynes from the Greenville Road Warriors in exchange for future considerations. The 22-year-old right wing is expected to be in the line-up tonight when the Mavericks play in Tulsa against the Oilers.
This season, the Norris Point, Newfoundland native played in two games with the Road Warriors and last year, Hynes played 20 games with Greenville averaging nearly a point a game with seven goals and seven assists.
Hynes amateur career ended last year after playing 14 games at St. Francis Xavier University (six goals and 10 assists in 14 games). Prior to that, the 5-8, 170-pound forward played five junior seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (33 points in 318 games with Victoriaville, Acadie-Bathurst and Val d'Or).
The Mavericks conclude their season-opening road trip on Tuesday night in Tulsa and then play their home opener on Saturday against Rapid City.
