Florida's York Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Allen York of the Florida Everblades is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 27-Nov. 2.

York was 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.00 goals-against average and a save percentage of .962 in two appearances last week.

The 25-year-old made 27 saves in a 4-2 victory at Orlando on Friday and then stopped all 24 shots he faced in a 3-0 win over the Solar Bears on Saturday.

A native of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, York has appeared in five games with the Everblades this season posting a record of 3-1-1 with one shutout, a 1.95 goals-against average and a save percentage of .917.

Under contract to Syracuse of the American Hockey League, York has played 41 career ECHL games with Florida, South Carolina, Evansville and Chicago with an overall record of 21-13-5 with two shutouts, a 2.84 and a save percentage of .903. He has also appeared in 40 career American Hockey League games with Syracuse, Rockford, Texas, Charlotte and Springfield and 11 NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, who selected him in the sixth round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Prior to turning pro, York played three years of college hockey at R.P.I, where he was selected to the ECAC Second All-Star Team in 2009-10 and the ECAC Third All-Star Team in 2010-11.

Runners Up: Olivier Roy, Idaho (2-0-0, 1.50 GAA, .943 save pct) and Tim Boron, Wichita (2-0-0, 1.00 GAA, .958 save pct.).
