
Tribute to Jean Shorts, Coal Region Night, & More Tonight

(Reading, PA) --Calling all people with the first name Jean or Gene, or the last name Short, or Shorts!
The R-Phils will hold a special Tribute to Jean Shorts on Friday, August 19 at FirstEnergy Stadium, and we want to see you!
All fans are encouraged to come out to America's Classic Ballpark and wear their best jean shorts, and the R-Phils will hold a special post-game jean shorts competition with the winner receiving $100 cash.
And, if your name is Jean or Gene, and your last name is Shorts, or Short, you can enjoy a game at beautiful FirstEnergy Stadium for FREE tonight. Fans with that "special" name will be handed a free general admission ticket to Friday's game by showing identification. Free tickets can be redeemed at the R-Phils ticket office on Friday.
Friday's game also features the final Coal Region Night of the season, and the band "Mixx" will take the Weston Center Winning Smiles Stage from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. All fans 21-years-old and older can enjoy Happy Hour with $1 off all beers, thanks to Miller Lite. The first 1,000 adults will also receive a "Weston Center Stage Hand" T-Shirt, thanks to Weston Center for Dental Health/Affordable Implants.
Also on Friday, fans will want to come out to the game with their "bags packed", as White Star Travel Center and Rock Hits Y102 present an Instant Vacation Giveaway to the Phillies at Nationals in Washington, D.C. (8/21-8/22). All fans 18-years-old and older can fill out a free entry form when they enter the ballpark on Friday. Fans should come to the game with their "bags packed", as the winner, along with three guests, will be taken away in a limousine immediately following the post-game fireworks show.
After the game, fans will want to stick around for a spectacular post-game fireworks show, thanks to Weston Center for Dental Health/Affordable Implants. After fans ooh and ahh at the post-game fireworks show, they will want to make their way over to the Weston Center Winning Smiles Stage for a great post-game concert by "Mixx", who will return to entertain fans.
2011 single-game tickets for all remaining games are still available, and fans can call 610-370-BALL, log-on to www.readingphillies.com, or stop by the brand-new R-Phils ticket office located at FirstEnergy Stadium. Fans can also add the all-you-can eat deck buffet wristband to any order for only $12.
