Moose Jaw Warriors News Release

Moose Jaw, SK: The Moose Jaw Warriors have acquired 17 year old left winger Jesse Paradis from the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for Warriors' 20 year old forward Ian Duval.

Paradis, the 6'1, 182 pounder from Winnipeg, MB, has spent his entire WHL career with the Kelowna Rockets. He was selected by the Rockets in the fourth round in the 2006 Bantam Draft. As a rookie last season with the Rockets, Jesse played in 40 games and compiled 10 points. In his last year in midget, Jesse played with the Winnipeg AAA Hawks where he tailed 27 goals and 61 points in only 36 games. This season Paradis has notched 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points.

"He is a hard working two-way forward. He will add some size and physical play to our lineup. We feel he has offensive upside given his Midget AAA statistics and believe he can achieve similar success as he continues to develop and make the necessary adjustments to the Western Hockey League," commented General Manager Chad Lang.
