Tri-City Americans News Release

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has reassigned 19-year-old defenseman Cam Stevens to the Winkler Flyers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. The move is effective immediately and reduces the club roster to 24 players (14 forwards, 7 defensemen and 3 goaltenders).

The Lethbridge Hurricanes traded Stevens to Tri-City on November 5 as part of the deal that sent Eric Mestery and Drew Hoff to the ‘Canes in exchange for Mitch Fadden, Brock Sutherland and Stevens. Stevens, a native of Brandon, MB, appeared in 17 games this season for Tri-City, collecting one goal and 27 penalty minutes along with a plus-2 rating. He joins a Flyers team who is 21-19-1-2 and are in third place in the MJHL's Addison Division.

The club returns to action tonight, Saturday, January 10th, as the Americans take on the division-rival Portland Winter Hawks at Toyota Center. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available through all Ticketmaster outlets, including the Toyota Center box office, all Fred Meyer outlets, or online at ticketmaster.com. Those unable to attend can catch all the action live on NewsTalk 870 AM, starting with the Sterling Savings Bank Warm-up Show at 6:45 p.m.
