Cranbrook BC - The Vancouver Giants started their seven game road trip well, crushing the Kootenay Ice 4-1 on Friday.

Newcomer Nick Ross opened the scoring in the first period, hammering a shot from the point to collect his first goal as a Giant, while Evander Kane had two goals and an assist in his return from TEAM CANADA. James Henry also scored for the Giants while Casey Pierro-Zabotel notched three assists.

Next up, the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
