Rome, GA - The Rome Braves & Keep Rome Floyd Beautiful announced today the continuation of their "Love the Braves, Love the Earth" campaign through 2010. Tomorrow September 2 at 10am behind the stadium on the walking trail, the two groups will kick off their "Home Runs for a Greener Rome" initiative by planting two Golden Maples.Â
The Rome Braves & KRFB program "Home Runs for a Greener Rome" will plant a tree for every home run hit at State Mutual Stadium by the home team during the 2010 campaign. Members of the Rome City Commission, Floyd County Commission, and the 2009 Rome Braves will be attendance to support this new project.Â
Rome will play their final three home games of the year beginning Wednesday at 1pm. Games on Thursday and Friday will start at 7pm. For more information call the Rome Braves at 706-378-5100 or log on to www.romebraves.com.
