GreenJackets Extend "Fan Appreciation Weekend"

September 1, 2009 - South Atlantic League (SAL1)
Augusta GreenJackets News Release

Augusta, GA - Due to heavy demand for general admission seating for Saturday's Fan Appreciation Night, the Augusta GreenJackets announce one-time ticket pricing for their regular season finale on Monday September 7th as a special way to thank their loyal supporters.

The GreenJackets have sold out of general admission seats for the Saturday contest against the Rome Braves while box and reserved seating remains on a limited first-come, first-serve basis. Because the GreenJackets want to thank all fans, they have partnered with local radio station Kicks 99 to provide 99-cent general admission tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis for the 2:05 p.m. Labor Day contest on Monday.

Earlier in the weekend in the opener of the three-game series with the Braves on Saturday September 5th, the GreenJackets will host Fan Appreciation Night with fireworks and prizes for fans throughout the night. On Sunday September 6th, families will have one final chance to enjoy a Monkey Joe's Family Sunday, with Dollar Hot Dogs throughout the game.

"We wanted to thank our fans for all the support they've shown GreenJackets baseball through a tough economy this season and give them one more chance to see their local team this summer," said Nick Brown, Augusta GreenJackets General Manager. "We're also grateful for the support of our friends at Beasley Broadcasting to help us thank our fans and for all that they do for us on a daily basis throughout the season."

More specials for fans will be announced at a later date for the Labor Day matinee contest against Rome.

The GreenJackets continue their current six-game homestand with the finale of a three-game series against the Savannah Sand Gnats tonight. First pitch will come at 7:05 from Lake Olmstead Stadium. You may purchase seats to tonight's game and every home game by calling 706-922-WINS or online at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com.
