Last Week:

The Toronto Marlies posted a record of 3-1-0-0 in four games this past week. Toronto started the week with a 4-3 shootout victory over the Lake Erie Monsters, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, last Wednesday.

Trevor Smith and Jerry D'Amigo both scored in the shootout.

The Marlies returned home on Saturday afternoon where they were defeated 5-1 by the Milwaukee Admirals, AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators. Trevor Smith scored Toronto's lone goal.

The following afternoon, Toronto defeated the Abbotsford Heat, AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames, by a score of 3-2.

Trevor Smith notched the game winning goal and Garret Sparks earned the victory. In their final game of the week, Toronto edged the Rochester Americans, AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres, 3-2 yesterday morning.

Look Ahead:

The Toronto Marlies will take to the ice for three games this coming week.

On Friday night, Toronto travels to Rochester for a 7:05 p.m. game. The Marlies are 3-2-0-1 against the Amerks this season. Phil Varone continues to lead Rochester in scoring with 50 points in 58 games.

The Marlies return home on Saturday afternoon to host the Iowa Wild, AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild. Toronto defeated Iowa earlier this year by a score of 4-3 in overtime. Brad Winchester leads the Wild in scoring, having collected 33 points over 66 games.

In their final game of the week, Toronto will host the Abbotsford Heat on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m.

The game can be seen live on Rogers Sportsnet 360. Max Reinhart leads the Heat in scoring with 49 points in 56 games.
