
Penguins Recall Rowney from Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that forward Carter Rowney has been recalled on loan from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
The 23-year old rookie returns to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton where he has skated in 16 contests this season, collecting one goal and two assists. Rowney is currently tied for second on the Nailers with 44 points, having registered 13 goals and 31 assists in the 39 games. He is also the team leader with a +23 plus/minus rating.
Rowney was a four-year letterman at the University of North Dakota, where he compiled 73 points (32g-41a) and 65 penalty minutes in 150 contests. The native of Sexsmith, Alberta appeared in four games last season for the Abbotsford Heat.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton returns to action tonight when they battle the Providence Bruins at 7:05pm.
