
Florida Panthers Reassign F Joey Crabb & D Ryan Whitney to San Antonio

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers Executive VP and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has reassigned F Joey Crabb and D Ryan Whitney to San Antonio (AHL).
Crabb, 30, has appeared in nine games with Florida this season, registering one assist and seven penalty minutes. He also has played in 53 games for the San Antonio (AHL) this season recording 26 points (12-14-26). The Anchorage, AK native has tallied 53 points (20-33-53) and 100 penalty minutes in 179 career NHL games played with Atlanta (2008-2009), Toronto (2010-2012), Washington (2012-2013) and Florida (2013-14).
Whitney, 31, has appeared in seven games with the Panthers this year. The Boston, MA native has also played in 40 games with San Antonio (AHL) this season, collecting 20 points (6-14-20) and 22 penalty minutes. He has played in 481 career NHL games over nine seasons with Pittsburgh (2005-09), Anaheim (2009-10), Edmonton (2010-13) and Florida (2013-14), recording 259 points (50-209-259) and 381 penalty minutes.
Florida hosts the Carolina Hurricanes tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. The game can be seen live on Fox Sports Florida and heard on 560 WQAM.
