April 8, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Toronto Marlies News Release

The Toronto Marlies have clinched the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy for the first time in team history. The trophy is presented to the AHL team that finishes the regular season with the best record. Enjoying a franchise record setting year for wins in a season, the Marlies sit atop the AHL with a 51-15-5-0 record and have clinched both the Eastern Conference and the North Division.

This is the second time in team history that the Marlies have been Conference Champions (2011-12) and the fifth time that they have been awarded the division championship. This season will mark the eighth trip to the post-season in the team's 11 year history. Four of the last five seasons, Toronto has entered the playoffs as division champions and they have reached the conference finals three times, while reaching the Calder Cup finals once.

The Toronto Marlies regular season concludes with back to back contests against the Rochester Americans on the 16th and 17th of April. Tickets for the Marlies three remaining home games as well as the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs can be purchased by calling 416-597-PUCK (7825) or by visiting marlies.ca.
