San Diego Gulls Sign Kevin Boyle to ATO

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed goaltender Kevin Boyle to an amateur tryout agreement (ATO).

Boyle, 23 (5/30/92), appeared in 39 games with the University of Massachusetts Lowell River Hawks this season, posting a 24-10-5 record with a 1.88 goals-against average (GAA), .934 save percentage (SV%) and seven shutouts. The Manalapan, NJ native was named Hockey East 2015-16 Goaltender of the Year and Hockey East Co-Player of the Year. Boyle spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he posted a 16-17-6 record, 2.86 GAA and .896 SV% in 41 games before transferring to Lowell before the 2013-14 season. In two seasons with UMass Lowell, Boyle went 42-19-11 with a 2.10 GAA, .925 SV% and 10 shutouts in 73 games.
