ON THE SCORESHEET

- Connor Brown opened the scoring for the Marlies to extend his point streak to three games, scoring his 11th goal of the season.

- Ben Smith recorded a goal in his third straight game, scoring his 12th goal of the season 1:06 into the second period.

- Colin Smith scored his 20th goal of the season as he continues to improve on his professional career high.

- Josh Leivo collected two assists on the evening, extending his point streak to five games.

- Mark Arcobello scored the game winning goal 27 seconds into the overtime frame, recording his 24th goal of the year.

- Brendan Leipsic assisted on the overtime goal, extending his point streak to five games. Over those five games Leipsic has recorded eight points (two goals, six assists)

- Antoine Bibeau turned aside 31 shots to record his 26th victory of the season.

NOTABLES

- With the victory the Marlies have clinched the McGregor Kilpatrick trophy, awarded to the team with the best record in the AHL, for the first time in franchise history.

- Toronto also clinched the Eastern Conference title and North Division title. This is their second conference win and fifth division title.

- The Toronto Marlies have set a new franchise high for wins in a season with 51.

- Toronto is now 13-0-5-0 in games requiring overtime this season.
