Binghamton Senators News Release

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators topped the Rochester Americans 3-1 in their final meeting of the 2015-16 season. Danny Hobbs and Jerome Leduc led the B-Sens offensively with one goal and one assist a piece.

Hobbs opened the scoring with his third goal of the year after he redirected a Leduc shot just 2:42 into the period. Former Amerk Leduc doubled the lead with a goal of his own with assists from fellow teammates formerly on Rochester, Phil Varone and Jason Akeson. Nick Tuzzolino gave the visitors a three-goal lead over halfway through the opening frame off assists from Hobbs and Casey Bailey. The B-Sens took the 3-0 lead to the locker room despite being outshot 17-11.

Following a scoreless middle frame, Jean Dupuy ended Driedger's shutout bid with less than six minutes remaining in the final frame, but the B-Sens held off the Amerks to get the win with a final 3-1 score.

Driedger stopped 38 shots to earn the win while Linus Ullmark had 23 saves in the losing effort.
