
Anaheim Ducks Sign Kevin Roy to Two-Year Entry-Level Contract

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed left wing Kevin Roy to a two-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Roy, 22 (5/20/93), scored 65-85=150 points with 92 penalty minutes (PIM) in 130 career games with Northeastern (Hockey East) from 2012-16. As captain of the Huskies in 2015-16, Roy completed his senior season with 10-16=26 points and 10 PIM in 29 games. The 5-10, 170-pound winger ranked tied for 12th in the nation in scoring (19-27=46) in 2013-14 and tied for fourth among NCAA freshman in points (17-17=34) in 2012-13.
Selected by Anaheim in the fourth round (97th overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Roy was a Hockey East First Team All-Star in 2014-15, a Hockey East Second Team All-Star in 2013-14 and one of three unanimous selections to the 2012-13 Hockey East All-Rookie Team. In 2011-12, Roy was named the USHL Player of the Year after becoming the first player in the league's current format (since 2002) to score 50 goals in a single season.
