Tormey gets call to Cleveland

TRENTON, NJ (February 19, 2006) - The Trenton Titans announced on Sunday that defenseman Peter Tormey has loaned to the Cleveland Barons of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Tormey, 25, is in the midst of his rookie season having compiled three goals, two assists and 24 penalty minutes in 43 games for the Titans.

The 6-5, 223-pound native of Bourne, Massachusetts played four years of collegiate hockey for the University of Massachusetts-Lowell (2001-2005). There, Tormey registered 18 points (4g, 14a) and 56 in 120 games with the Nighthawks.

Tormey becomes the thirteenth member of the Titans to be called-up to the AHL this season.

Trenton's next home game comes on Friday, February 24 at 7:30pm against the Wheeling Nailers.
