READING, PA (February 19, 2006) - The Trenton Titans allowed three goals on the man-advantage to the Reading Royals and fell 5-1 at the Sovereign Center on Sunday afternoon.

The Royals took a 1-0 lead off a power play goal when Doug Christiansen tipped home his 24th of the season with 1:56 left in the first period.

After Dany Roussin put Reading up 2-0 just 1:26 into the second period, Ned Havern helped the Titans answer with a marker of their own on the man-advantage at 4:39 of the frame.

Reading would get another late goal on the power play, however, as Eric Werner blasted a slap shot through a screen with 16.3 left until the intermission to make it 3-1

The game got away from Trenton early in the final period as Grant Jacobsen and Dustin Sproat each picked up a goal forty-four seconds apart just over three minutes into the third to complete the scoring.

The Titans finished 1-for-4 on the power play, but just 3-for-6 on the penalty kill.

Cody Rudkowsky improved his record against Trenton at home to 3-0-0 with 23 saves, while Stirling stopped 20 of 25 to fall to 6-4-1.

The Trenton Titans seek redemption against the Reading Royals on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:05pm. Go to www.trentontitans.com to listen or watch live courtesy of b2 Networks.
