'Topes return home for eight-game homestand

Albuquerque will return home on Thursday for an eight-game homestand with Nashville and Iowa. The Isotopes first host the Sounds, Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, from Thursday to Sunday, before hosting division-rival Iowa for four games from Monday to Thursday. The Cubs, Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, have been battling Albuquerque for first place in the Central Division for most of the season. The homestand will feature Military Appreciation Night, the second 50¢ hot dog night of the season, Post-Game Fireworks, and License Plate, Flying Disk, and Team Photo giveaways.

MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT

In honor of the men and women who serve our country, the Isotopes will be holding Military Appreciation Night this Saturday Night against the Nashville Sounds.

The Isotopes will be wearing special camouflage hats and jerseys for the occasion and during the game fans will be able to bid on the jerseys via a silent auction. The proceeds from the auction will be presented to the Kirtland Air Force Base Family Support Center.

50 CENT HOT DOG NIGHT RETURNS

Albuquerque will host its second 50¢ hot dog night of the season on Monday, June 14. Back on April 29, 6,188 fans ate over 18,000 hot dogs in the first 50¢ hot dog night of 2004. Each fan can purchase up to six hot dogs on each visit to the concession stands.

SECOND YOUTH CLINIC THIS SATURDAY

The Isotopes will host the second of three youth baseball clinics on Saturday, beginning at 9 AM. The clinics are open to kids 5-15 years of age with a maximum of 100 kids per clinic. To sign up, register in person at the Isotopes Administrative Office, located on the 2nd floor of Isotopes Park, between the hours of 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

A registration fee of $50 will get each player instruction, an Isotopes hat, water bottle, certificate, a post-clinic lunch provided by Sonic Drive-In, and two tickets to that night's Isotopes game. Participants are asked to bring their own baseball gloves, proper clothing, protective equipment, and proper footwear. The third clinic will be held on July 10. KIDS IN CHARGE

Over the last 2 months, kids between the ages of 9-15 have signed up to become an Isotopes staff member for a day. Thirty kids have been selected to be "in charge" for a day on Wednesday June 16th. Kids will shadow Isotopes staff members beginning with their pre-game routine and continuing through the second inning. Each kid receives 2 tickets, a food voucher, backpack, and t-shirt. All departments are covered: broadcast; game day staff; ticketing; front office; game operations. The event is sponsored by Radio Disney and Raylee Homes / Vantage Homes.
