Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release

Colorado Springs, CO – Sky Sox President and General Manager Bob Goughan has resigned from his position for personal reasons, club ownership announced today. "We want to thank Bob for his years of service to both the Elmore Sports Group and the city of Colorado Springs," said Sky Sox Owner Dave Elmore. "Under Bob's leadership, the Sky Sox have set an extraordinary standard of community involvement and business success. The groundwork that he has laid will be the building stones of the future of this franchise."

Goughan, who has been in that capacity with the club since 1991, made the personal decision in order to spend more time with his family. Senior Vice President of Marketing/Promotions Rai Henniger and Senior Vice President of Operations Dwight Hall have been named interim Co-General Managers and will see to the day-to-day running of the club for the remainder of the 2004 season. No timetable has been set for naming a permanent replacement.

"Bob has been a tremendous mentor for everyone on the staff over the years," said Hall. "It's a tough day for all of us. We wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors."

"From our fans' perspective, very little will change at Sky Sox Stadium," said Henniger. "We will continue to provide the same affordable family entertainment at every game, all summer long."

Sky Sox ownership will be available for comment on a limited basis through the Sky Sox Public Relations Department.
