Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox won 10-8, over the Omaha Royals at Sky Sox Stadium. First baseman Garrett Atkins led the way for the Sox going 2-for-4 bringing in 1 run while picking up 4 RBI. Sox starting pitcher Travis Driskill started off a little rocky pitching 6.0 innings giving up 10 hits, 5 runs (all earned), striking out 3, and walking 2. Royals DH Calvin Pickering went 3-for-4 scoring 3 runs and picking up 4 RBI. The Sky Sox and Royals do it all again Tuesday night at 7:05 for the final game of the series and homestand. The Sox will send RHP Adam Bernero to the mound facing off against Royals' RHP Jason Dickson.
