Walleye Notes

- Collecting the Wins! After Toledo was bounced 7-3 last Wednesday by Wheeling, the Walleye responded by collecting three consecutive wins. In those three wins, Toledo outscored the opposition 13-4. It's the first three game winning streak of the year for the Walleye. Sunday marked the first time this year that Toledo won a game in a shootout.

- Scoring Quickly! Toledo continued to light the lamp as quickly as they can. It started Friday night in Kalamazoo as Maxime Tanguay scored just 9 seconds into the game. Later in that game, Toledo would strike with back to back goals 1:03 apart (Mike Hedden and JC Sawyer). Saturday night saw a similar situation as the Walleye struck for two goals in 18 seconds. Tanguay scored an empty net goal at 18:28 then Stokes struck just 18 seconds later.

- Scoring for Wins! Toledo is a perfect 7-0-0-0 when scoring five or more goals this season. The Walleye scored six goals Friday and five more on Saturday.

- Osman Dominating in the Zoo! Walleye forward Dominic Osman has collected four of his six goals in just two games in Kalamazoo. As a matter of fact, Osman has scored five of six goals against Kalamazoo this year.

- Pearce goes for Perfection! Walleye goaltender Jordan Pearce collected consecutive wins beating Kalamazoo Friday and Elmira Sunday. Jordan allowed just 3 goals on 63 shots to post the wins. He also went a perfect four for four in the shootout Sunday.
