Elmira's Grimaldi Suspended One Game, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that Elmira defenseman Joe Grimaldi was suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL game #246 at Toledo on Dec. 12.

Grimaldi was assessed a fighting major and a game misconduct - secondary altercation at 15:39 of the third period.

Grimaldi is suspended and fined under Rule 29 - Supplemental Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Grimaldi missed Elmira's game at Toledo (Dec. 13).
