Pearl Harbor Jersey Raffle and Auction

The Condors commemorated veterans with a Pearl Harbor Jersey Raffle & Auction on Saturday. The live auction, which took place during the first intermission and following the game, raised $25,800, marking the sixth highest jersey auction total in team history. The Bakersfield Fog Throwback Jersey Auction on April 1, 2006 continues to set the bar at $32,300. RW Dan Sexton, who now has four goals and one assist in four games with the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League, had his jersey go for $2,000, the high for the night. F Andrew Ianiero had his jersey go for the second-highest total of $1,800 moving him into second place all-time in jersey auction totals by a player with $25,650. Paul Rosebush, who played for the Condors from 1999-2006, leads with $26,350. All the money raised for the auction was donated to the California Brain Injury Association. The California Brain Injury Association is an organization providing information, referrals, education, advocacy and support for those affected by brain injury.

"This auction was great and we could not be more pleased with the amount of money raised," said Paula Daoutis, Administrative Director of California Brain Injury Association. "The Condors are great in the community and we have enjoyed working with them the last four years. The money raised will help serve two purposes: expand our outreach to older veterans and help further our mission by distributing necessary information and resources to the population in California. We would like to thank everyone who participated."

The Week that Was

LW Ryan Donally and D Patrik Prokop skated with more than 1,000 kids from CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) on the Rabobank Arena ice prior to the drop of the puck on Saturday. Children Joining Children for Success organized a fundraiser with the Condors to help support local organizations, such as CASA, and brought more than 2,000 people to the game on Saturday.

"It was an excellent event, and I have nothing but great things to say about it," said Silvia Mendez, Founder of Children Joining Children for Success. "It was a definite success and the kids had a wonderful time. We would love to do it again next year."
