Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors swept a two-game weekend series with the Utah Grizzlies last week, running their home winning streak to a team record 10 games. Bakersfield is 16-6-2 on the season, sitting in 1st place in the Pacific Division with 34 points in the standings. They hold a nine-point lead over the 2nd place Ontario Reign and rank 3rd in the ECHL in wins, win percentage and points.

The Condors scored once in each period and G Timo Pielmeier surrendered just one goal on 20 Utah shots, in a 3-1 victory over the Grizzlies. D Eric Regan, RW Erick Lizon (right) and LW Shawn Weller each lit the lamp for Bakersfield, which established a new team record for consecutive home wins, with their 9th straight.

CONDORS 3 vs. Utah 2 (OT)

D Eric Regan scored on the power play with just 25 seconds remaining in overtime to lift the Condors to their 10th consecutive home victory, 3-2. LW Shawn Weller fed Regan for the goal, giving him his third point on the evening. Weller scored twice in regulation, including a shorthanded goal in the third period to knot the game up at 2-2. G Timo Pielmeier made 18 saves to get the win, while the Condors out-shot Utah 36-20.

PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:

The Condors are unbeaten in regulation in their last 8-0-2 in their last 10 games. The team record is 12 games (9-0-3), set in 2006-07. They are also 11-1-2 in their last 14 overall.

The Condors have been out-shot only four times in 24 games this season

$25,800 was raised through the Condors Pearl Harbor Jersey Raffle and Auction on Saturday night, including the night's highest bid of $2,000 for RW Dan Sexton's jersey, produced prior to his reassignment from the team. A massive total of over $665,000 has been raised through Condors jersey auctions in team history.

G Timo Pielmeier has started seven straight games in net. He has improved to 10-4-2 on the season. He is now tied for 2nd in wins (10), 4th in minutes (959) and 10th in goals against average (2.82).

Marty Raymond coached his 400th Condors game on Friday. He has nearly twice as many career games than the next closest coach in team history (Kevin MacDonald, 214).

ON THE DOCKET:

The Condors head out on the road for their next three contests. On Wednesday they travel to Ontario to take on the Reign at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday they travel to Utah for two more contests against the Grizzlies. Both games start at 6:05 p.m. Pacific Time. They will get an opportunity to extend their home winning streak to 11 games on Friday, Dec. 26 against the Stockton Thunder. That night the first 2,000 kids 12 and under will get a Condors Street Hockey Set, sponsored by KGET-TV 17, HOT 94.1 and Carl's Jr. The doors open at 6 p.m., the puck drops at 7 p.m.
