STORM NOTES

* Sports Arena is the best home ice in the League! Toledo has started the 2006-07 season with 3 consecutive home wins. That is the most since the 2002-03 team won 11 consecutive home contests.

* Reading Mastery! Over the past two seasons, Toledo has enjoyed success against the Reading Royals with an 11-2-1 record. That includes 8-0-0 inside the Toledo Sports Arena.

* Weekend Double for Berry! Forward Mike Berry collected his first goal of the season Friday night and followed that up with a power-play goal Saturday night and became the first Storm player to score goals in back to back games.

* Power Play! It took a little while, but the Toledo power play scored its first goal of the season at 12:04 of the third period Saturday night. With that goal, the Storm ended a 0-38 start to the season on the power play. Currently, Toledo is 1-39 with the man advantage.

* Penalty Kill! The Penalty Kill Unit has continued to perform stopping 30 of 35 power plays against (85.7%). Toledo does have 1 short-handed goal (Ken Magowan 10/28 v. Reading).

STORM WATCH

* The Storm return to action Wednesday morning with a special "Third Shift" game against the Johnstown Chiefs. Wednesday's game will begin at 10:35am! This will be the first meeting of the year between the long time division rivals. Toledo has an all-time record of 68-34-13 against the Chiefs. Radek Smolenak (4g, 2a) and Jean Desrochers (3g, 3a) each have 6 points.

* On Friday night, the Florida Everblades invade One Main Street for the first-ever Regular Season game played between the two clubs! Prior to this game, Toledo and Florida have only met in the pre-season. The Everblades have started the season with a record of 2-2-0. Goaltender David Schantz is 2-0-0, with a 1.50 goals against average and a .941 save percentage.

* Saturday night, the Cincinnati Cyclones will appear in Toledo. Cincinnati is the only team to conquer Toledo this year, defeating the Storm 4-0 on October 21st in Cincinnati. Goaltender Cedrick Desjardins made 37 saves in that game. Torry Gajda leads the Cyclones in scoring with 5 goals and 2 assists.

STORM PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Mike Berry (2 goals - 0 assists = 2 points)

Mike collected his first 2 goals of the season over the weekend. His second goal gave Toledo a 3-2 lead Saturday night midway through the third period.

STORM GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK:

Dominic Vicari (1-0-0, 1.85 gaa, 0.938 save%)

Dominic won his first professional game and was very impressive. He denied two breakaways during the game and followed that up by stopping 4 of 5 Reading shooters in the shoot out.
