Condors' Comebacks Net Three Points in Alaska

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The first full weekend on the road in Anchorage was a success as the Bakersfield Condors came from behind to beat Alaska 7-5 on Friday night and rallied to force a shootout before falling 3-2 on Saturday night. This weekend they're back at home in front of the best fans in the ECHL for two more against the defending Kelly Cup Champion Aces, with Team Poster Giveaway on Friday night and Dodgeball Giveaway on Saturday night. Bakersfield ranks fourth in the league in attendance, averaging 6,235 fans per game. They wrap up the weekend Sunday with a game in Long Beach against the Ice Dogs.

Friday, Oct. 27:
CONDORS 7 at Alaska 5 (Attendance: 4,669)
Bakersfield pulled off a big comeback to defeat the defending Kelly Cup Champion Aces, 7-5. Trailing 5-2 in the second period, Joel Irving scored a pair of power-play goals and Brett Lutes added a tally with the man advantage as well to knot the game entering the third. At 7:13 of the final stanza, Josh Liebenow put the Condors ahead, and Alexandre Bolduc added an empty-netter to seal the victory.

Saturday, Oct. 28:
CONDORS 2 @ Alaska 3 (Attendance: 5,136)
Another Condors comeback came up just short on Saturday night in a 3-2 shootout loss. The Aces led 2-0, but Kevin St. Jacques scored late in the second and again early in the third to tie it up. In the shootout, St. Jacques and recently acquired Rane Carnegie scored for Bakersfield, but Alaska put three behind Jamie Hodson for the win. Hodson was stellar in goal, stopping 31 of 33 shots.

Joel Irving leads the club with six points

Bolduc and Andrew Ianeiro lead the team with three goals each

Brett Lutes made his season debut on Friday with a goal and two assists

Danny Stewart (knee), Steve Rodberg (knee) and Scott Borders (leg) all remain out of the lineup

Hodson stopped 64 of 71 shots in the two games in Alaska
