Bombers Opening Night Festivities to Feature Local Country Band

Dayton, OH-The Dayton Bombers of the ECHL announced today that they will host a pre-game tailgate party featuring popular local country band The Highway Junkies on Opening Night, Saturday, November 4, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Ervin J. Nutter Center.

"We are making a concerted effort to enhance the game night experience for our fans," said Bombers President Costa Papista. "The entire organization feels that having The Highway Junkies perform at our pre-game tailgate will be a great addition to our Opening Night game environment."

The tailgate will take place in front of the main entrance of the Nutter Center, located by Gate 3. Nutter Center doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m., with the first 1,000 fans receiving complementary Bombers schedule magnets and banger sticks. The Bombers will face-off against the Florida Everblades at 7:00 p.m.

The Highway Junkies, founded in December 2004, are a high energy country band that has opened for such country acts as The Wreckers, Brian McComas, Confederate Railroad, Jamey Johnson and Rhett Akins. Locally, the band recently headlined the Taste of Dayton '06 and was named a finalist in the K99.1 FM Battle of the Country Bands. The Highway Junkies are also proudly sponsored by Bud Light True Music Series.
