ESTERO, FL - The Florida split a two-game series with division rival Charlotte this past week, and will skate in three game this week on the team's first road trip of the year. The Everblades head into this week's action with a record of 2-2-0 (4pts, T-6th South Div.).

Wednesday, November 1 at Cincinnati Cyclones 7:35 p.m.
GAME NOTES: The Everblades hit the road for the first time in 2006-07 when they travel north to take on the Cincinnati Cyclones for the first time in team history. The Cyclones returned to the ECHL this season after not playing for the past two years. The first three years the team was in Cincinnati (2001-04) the team compiled a 97-102-17 record. The Cyclones enter this week's action with a record of 3-1-0 (6 pts., T-1st, North Div.).
Friday, November 3 at Toledo Storm 7:35 p.m.
GAME NOTES: The Everblades meet up against the Toledo Storm for the first time in team history on Friday night at the Toledo Sports Arena. Last season the Storm lost in the American Conference Finals to the Gwinnett Gladiators. In their 15-year history the Storm have won the ECHL Championship twice, winning the Riley Cup in back-to-back seasons of 1993 & 1994. The Storm enter this week's action with a record of 3-1-0 (6 pts., T-1st, North Div.).
Saturday, November 4 at Dayton Bombers 7:00 p.m.
GAME NOTES: The Everblades travel to the Ervin J. Nutter Center in Dayton, OH to face the Bombers in the third game of the four-game road trip. It also is the first ever meeting between the two teams. The Bombers finished 20-46-6 last year, and 13 of their 20 wins came at home. In their 15-year history the Bombers have never won an ECHL title, but did lose in the Kelly Cup Finals in 2002. The Bombers enter this week's action with a record of 1-1-0 (2 pts., T-6st, North Div.).

Thursday, October 26 vs. Charlotte 4-1 W
The Everblades won their second straight game with a convincing 4-1 win over the visiting Charlotte Checkers. After the Checker scored the first goal of the game, the Everblades responded with four unanswered goals. Kevin Estrada and Ryan Brindley scored second period goals while Vince Bellissimo and David Brine added third period tallies. David Shantz started in goal for the Everblades and picked up his second win after stopping 21 of 22 shots. Florida Special Teams: PP: 1-for-9; PK: 5-for-6.
Saturday, October 28 vs. Charlotte 3-1 L
The Everblades fell to the Checkers in the second of two vs. their division rival. After a scoreless first two periods, the Checkers tallied three third period goals, including two in a span of 19 seconds midway through the frame. Jon Lehun scored the lone third period goal for the Everblades. Craig Kowalski started in goal for the Everblades and suffered the loss allowing the three goals on 33 shots. Florida special teams: PP: 0-for-6, PK: 5-for-6.
Player of the Week Nominee: This week's Everblades nominee for ECHL player of the week is Vince Bellissimo who tallied a goal and picked up an assist in Florida's two games this past week. The Everblades Goaltender of the Week nominee is David Shantz who earned his second win of the season by stopping 21 of 22 Charlotte shots on Thursday night.
Milestones Reached: Everblades forward Bill Kinkel skated in his 100th professional game on Thursday night at Germain Arena... Rookie forward David Brine netted his first professional goal on Thursday night vs. the Checkers.
Milestones: Heading into the 2006-07 season, here are some milestones that Everblades players and coaches are approaching in their professional careers: F Reggie Berg is 10 games shy of playing in his 300th career game and is 17 points away from his 300th career point...D Ryan Brindley is 44 games away from playing in his 500th career game, and finds himself two assists shy of 200 and 16 points away from his 300th...F Dustin Johner is just four goals shy of his 50th career marker... F Brent McDonald needs 14 points to collect his 200th and is 17 goals away from his 100th career goal...F Brad Parsons needs six assists to hit the century mark...D Jeremy Swanson is six games away from playing in his 100th career game.
