Toledo Walleye News Release
STORM NOTES
- We Streaking Again! By virtue of its 2-0-0 record this past week, Toledo is 7-1-1 over the last nine games. The current four game winning streak ties a season high for the Storm set back in November (5th through the 12th). In both games this weekend, Toledo trailed heading to third period.
- Shorthand, Think Not! Toledo has scored a shorthanded goal in three of its last four contests. Jason Maleyko is the latest to score while down as he did to tie Saturday's game with 1:30 left in the third period. Toledo won that game 4-3 in a shootout.
- Shut the Door! Friday night against Johnstown, not only did Toledo hold the Chiefs scoreless in the third, but also held them without a shot on goal. It is just the fourteenth time in ECHL history that a team has been held without a shot on net. The Storm outscored Johnstown 3-0, and out shot them 13-0 in that third period.
- Power Play! The Storm Power Play went 1-1 in Friday's game and followed that up with a 0-6 mark on Saturday. For the season, the Storm power play ranks 7th in the ECHL at 20.6%. They have scored 47 goals in 228 power play opportunities.
- Penalty Kill! The Storm is ranked 14th in the league in kill percentage at 82.0%. Toledo has allowed 36 goals in 200 times shorthanded this year. The 82.0% is the highest for the Storm since November 14th, when the Storm was killing 83.1% of times shorthanded.

- All-Star Time! This week is the annual ECHL All-Star Game. Defenseman Gerry Burke will represent the Storm in the game on January 25th.
