
Toledo Ends The Streak, Defeats Bullies 3-1

Toledo, OH â Reggie Savage tallied the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal at 1:07 of the third period and Tyler Knight recorded a goal and an assist to lead the Toledo Storm to a 3-1 win over the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies before 2805 at the Toledo Sports Arena in ECHL action Friday. The loss snaps the Bullies 10-game unbeaten streak in regulation.
The Bullies (12-5-2) opened the scoring at 13:23 of the first period. Jason Notermann tipped Luke Curtin's rebound past the outstretched arms of Toledo goalie Logan Koopmans into the back of the net to give Atlantic City a 1-0 lead.
Toledo netted the equalizer at 13:16 of the second period on a two-man advantage power play. Knight collected Danny Eberly's rebound from the point to the right of the net and tucked the puck underneath Bullies goaltender Jake Moreland to tie the game 1-1.
Savage was credited with his second goal of the season when his centering feed from behind the cage was deflected into the net at 1:07 of the third period to give Toledo a 2-1 advantage. Tomas Micka would add an insurance goal at 11:59 of the period to make the final score 3-1.
Toledo out-shot the Bullies 44-34. Moreland made a season-high 41 saves in dropping to 10-3-1 on the year. The Bullies went 0-5 on the power play. The Bullies continue this two-game road trip at 7PM Saturday against the Johnstown Chiefs at the Warm Memorial.
