
Kowalsky Keys 5-3 Win Over Reading

READING, PA - Rick Kowalsky and the Trenton Titans ended the Reading Royals' nine-game winning streak with a 5-3 win in front of 5,373 at the Sovereign Center.
Down 2-0 in the first period, the Titans would go on to score five unanswered goals. Brent Robinson scored his fourth of the season at 13:18 of the first to start the eventual comeback.
Just :44 into second period, Scott Bertoli took a feed from B.J. Abel and beat Barry Brust up high to tie the score 2-2. From there it was all Kowalsky
The 12th year pro was able to beat Brust through a screen later in that period to give Trenton their first lead of game. He then put gave the Titans a two-goal cushion with a power play goal at 17:34 of middle period.
Kowalsky put in a rebound of Nick Deschenes shot at 4:01 of the third to make the score 5-2 and complete the hat trick..
Andrew Allen, sent down from the Providence Bruins earlier this week, was stellar in his return, stopping 35 shots for his fifth win of the season.
Trenton was 1-for-4 on the power play and 6-for-7 on the penalty kill.
The Trenton Titans complete the home-and-home series with the Reading Royals tomorrow, December 4 at 7:00pm at Sovereign Bank Arena.
