Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release

The playoff-bound Fort Wayne TinCaps take on the Lake County Captains in game two of a three-game series tonight at 7:05 PM. The scheduled starters are Bryan Rodriguez for the TinCaps and Dylan Baker for the Captains.

Some notes on Fort Wayne's hot play as of late:

- Since moving to Parkview Field in 2009, the TinCaps have qualified for the Midwest League Playoffs in each of their first five campaigns. The streak of five straight playoff appearances sets a new franchise record, too. Previously, Fort Wayne had a run of four postseasons in a row from 2003-2006. No other Midwest League team has made the playoffs every year since 2009, like the TinCaps.

- Since May 26, none of the other 119 minor league teams currently in-season have won more than 13 games.

- Out of 120 MiLB teams, Fort Wayne's team ERA of 3.38 is the 13th best (and second in the Midwest League to only Bowling Green's 3.30). Offensively, the TinCaps' .269 batting average is 12th in the minors (excluding the hitter-happy Pacific Coast League).

Tonight's game can be seen on XFINITY 81 and heard on The Fan 1380 and TheFanFortWayne.com.
