Burlington Bees News Release

Wednesday's scheduled game between the Burlington Bees and Kane County Cougars has been cancelled due to a heavy storm that is expected to pass through the Kane County area this afternoon and evening.

Only a couple hours after the Chicago White Sox cancelled its game, the Kane County Cougars have decided to cancel Wednesday's night contest with the Burlington Bees. The game will not be made up this season, because both teams are out of the playoff race.

On Tuesday night, the Bees (24-36) picked up a 7-6 victory over the Cougars (28-34) behind Andrew Ray's two home runs and a strong performance out of their bullpen.

Thursday's night series finale will feature Alex Keudell and Taylor Scott, two pitchers selected to the Midwest League All-Star game. The two met last week, with Scott getting the better of Keudell in a 3-2 Cougars win. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark.
