BOWLING GREEN, KY - The Bowling Green Hot Rods fell to the Fort Wayne TinCaps by a score of 3-0, as they were shutout for the fourth time in the second half.

There was only one frame where either team scored a run, and it was the top of the fourth inning where the TinCaps scored three runs on four hits.

That inning started off with a leadoff triple of the bat of LF Robbie Podorsky who then scored on a double from C Luis Campusano to give the TinCaps a 1-0 lead. Another double from 2B Esteury Ruiz made the score 2-0. Fort Wayne got its third run on a single from SS Gabriel Arias.

RHP Tobias Myers got the start for the Hot Rods and threw seven innings allowing eight hits, three runs, no walks, and eight strikeouts. LHP Andrew Gist came out of the bullpen to pitch the final two innings without allowing a run while also picking up two strikeouts along the way.

The Hot Rods threatened in the sixth inning when SS Taylor Walls singled and then 3B ach Rutherford walked. They advanced to second and third on a wild pitch, but were stranded their as the TinCaps were able to retire the side.

For the TinCaps LHP Osvaldo Hernandez got the start and threw five and one-third innings and allowed just four hits and two walks. RHP Caleb Boushley was the first one out of the pen and he threw and inning and two-thirds and did not allow a hit. RHP Austin Smith threw an inning without allowing a hit before RHP Travis Radke sent the Hot Rods down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the ninth.

The Hot Rods and TinCaps meet again at Bowling Green Ballpark tomorrow at 2:05pm CST. RHP Paul Campbell (0-0, 5.79) gets the start for the Hot Rods, and LHP Aaron Leasher (5-4, 3.39) will go for the TinCaps.
