TUESDAY NIGHT: The TinCaps were shut out for the first time this year, 5-0, by the Loons. Former Fort Wayne Mastodons ace Evan Miller threw 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief in the losing cause.

ROSARIOHHH: Jeisson Rosario, who's the 4th youngest player in the Midwest League, is 3rd in the MWL in BB% (26%). His 18 walks are tied for 3rd most in the league. His .478 OBP ranks 5th. Meanwhile, he's only struck out 11 times, so his 1.64 BB/K is 7th best. And when Rosario has put the ball into play, he's hit a line drive 34% of the time - 3rd highest in the league - compared to hitting a fly ball or ground ball (or striking out). According to FanGraphs, "batters who hit a lot of line drives typically perform better than hitters who hit lots of fly balls or ground balls." And when Rosario is on base, he's a threat to run. He's 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. His 5 stolen bags are tied for 10th most in the league.

BULLPEN BRILLIANCE: TinCaps relievers have gone 12.2 consecutive innings without allowing a run. This stretch of success, which has come on the heels of significant struggles, began with Jared Carkuff throwing 3.1 scoreless innings on Sunday against Dayton. It's continued here in Midland with Caleb Boushley (3.2) and Travis Radke (1.0) on Monday and Evan Miller (3.2) and Jordan Guerrero (1.0) on Tuesday.

BULLPEN ANTICS: During several inning breaks in Tuesday night's game, TinCaps relievers froze in place in the bullpen from the time the final out of an inning was made until the first pitch of the next frame. This continued even as it rained during the game. Minor League Baseball shared video of the shenanigans on Twitter.

ALUMNI REPORT: Eric Lauer, who pitched for the TinCaps in 2016, made his MLB debut for the Padres on Tuesday night in Colorado. Lauer made 1 start in Fort Wayne, tossing 2 no-hit innings against Great Lakes on Sept. 1. The left-hander from Elyria, Ohio, was selected by the Padres with the 25th pick in the 2016 draft out of Kent State. There have now been 160 former Fort Wayne Wizards and TinCaps to reach the big leagues.

BALLPARK RANKINGS: Baseball America has updated its rankings of Minor League Ballparks and Parkview Field has once again made the list at No. 5. "This is the only lower-level park to place among the top 10, and for reason. Fort Wayne gets high marks for its skyline. The 360-degree concourse is the envy of other franchises, too." Parkview Field has been rated the No. 1 MiLB Ballpark Experience by Stadium Journey 4 years in a row and 6 of the last 7.

SPORTSCENTER: Outfielder Tirso Ornelas and infielder Esteury Ruiz were featured by SportsCenter anchor Kevin Connors in his "Minor League Minute" segment on Saturday. Both had 3-hit games that included a home run in Saturday's 8-2 victory over Dayton.

TRENDING UP: The TinCaps have won 3 of their last 4. Fort Wayne is 7-6 since beginning the year 0-6.

ALMOST HAD 'EM: The TinCaps have led in 7 of their 12 losses.

YOUNGEST TEAM IN MiLB: The TinCaps feature the 4 youngest players in the league: Justin Lopez (17), Tirso Ornelas (18), Gabriel Arias (18), and Jeisson Rosario. Fort Wayne presently has 10 teenagers on its roster. According to Baseball America, the average age for a TinCaps player to start the year was 20.6. (The average age in the Midwest League was 22 years old.) This theme continues up the ladder for the Padres, who also have the youngest team in the California League (High-A Lake Elsinore) and the Texas League (Double-A San Antonio).

WE'RE No. 1: According to MLB.com, the Padres have the No. 1 ranked farm system in baseball. The TinCaps boast 7 "Top 30" San Diego prospects (see list on right), including MacKenzie Gore (MLB.com's No. 1 LHP).
