
Red Hot LumberKings return home for a 6-game stand

Clinton, IA - The Clinton LumberKings return to Ashford University Field to play their brand of first place baseball over a six-game stretch from May 1st through the 6th. The Bowling Green Hot Rods (A, affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) and the Dayton Dragon (A, affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) make their only trips to Clinton during the regular season.
The home stand begins with three straight nights of beer specials and rolls on to include a special Mother's Day giveaway courtesy of Don's Jewelry, and a Family Funday Sunday featuring balloon artist, face painting, and postgame kids run the bases courtesy of the Children's Discovery Center.
The home stand begins with the first game of a three-game series with the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Tuesday night. The deuces will be wild at Ashford University Field for "Two-Dollar Tuesday." $2 tickets, $2 box seat upgrades, $2 Miller Lite and Coors Light tall boys, $2 soft drinks, $2 hot dogs, and $2 ice cream are available to all throughout the game.
Day baseball during the week returns to Ashford University Field in game two of the LumberKings series with the Bowling Green Hot Rods. For those looking to play hooky from work, the LumberKing will be hosting a midday matinee with Retro Beer specials offered to all fans 21 year and older. Retro Beer day features $2 Hamm's, PBR, and Miller High Life which will be served exclusively at the first base beer stand.
The series concludes with the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Thursday night. Fans 21 years and older can come down to Ashford University Field for "Thirsty Thursday" and enjoy $2 tall boy Coors Light and Miller Lite from 5 to 8 PM.
The Clinton LumberKings welcome in the Dayton Dragons for the first and only time in 2018. Friday's series opener features Clinton Community College Night at the ballpark. See Clinton Community College for special ticket offers to the game.
Saturday the LumberKings tip their caps to Mom. Arrive early for a special Mother's Day giveaway courtesy of Don's Jewelry in the Lyons Neighborhood.
The homestand concludes with the series finale against the Dayton Dragons on Sunday, May 6. Kids and staff of the D.A.R.E. program will receive special tickets to the Sunday matinee game. Also, Sunday Fundays return with balloon artists, face painting, and postgame kids run the bases all courtesy of the Children's Discovery Center.
