Cedar Rapids, IA - Jake Odorizzi struck out 10 over eight innings and Adrian Rosario struck out two in the ninth as the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers shut out and no-hit the Cedar Rapids Kernels, 3-0 on Tuesday night at Perfect Game Field. The Kernels only managed to draw two walks, reached on an error and Jose Jimenez was hit by a pitch.

Kernels starter Stephen Locke (7-7) took the loss, giving up three runs on 10 hits, walking one and striking out seven over six innings. Young-Il Jung and David Carpenter combined to work the final three innings in relief of Locke.

The Timber Rattlers took a page from the Angels' playbook, using a series of bunts and infield hits to score three runs. Only one of the Timber Rattlers 10 hits were for extra bases, a double by Hunter Morris in the first inning.

Cedar Rapids finished the seven game home stand at 3-4 as the loss drops them to 31-26 in the second half and 74-50 overall. They now head to Peoria on Wednesday and open a seven day, eight game road trip with a DH against the Chiefs at 5:00 pm.
