South Bend Silver Hawks News Release
South Bend, IN - Where's the only place in town that you can watch fireworks, honor a lacrosse team, and see a man in a kilt while enjoying some Latin dancing?
Obviously, the answer has to be at Coveleski Stadium, the home of the South Bend Silver Hawks.
All of that, plus a baseball game, will happen this Friday night, August 27th, when the Silver Hawks take on the Dayton Dragons on Latina Night at the Cove.
Confused yet? Let's explain:
* Latina Night - Celebrate our Hispanic community with pre-game entertainment, dancing on the concourse, festive music and other activities throughout the game.
* Fireworks - Friday is always a fireworks night at the Cove, sponsored by 1st Source Bank, WNDU and B100. The best post game fireworks in the league take place shortly after the final out in what will hopefully be a Silver Hawks victory.
* Lacrosse - Join the Silver Hawks in congratulating and recognizing the University of Notre Dame Men's Lacrosse team for their tremendous accomplishments last season. Players, coaches, cheerleaders and Irish Dancers will be on hand to cheer on the Silver Hawks
* Kilt - Manager Mark Haley will be wearing a kilt for the duration of the game in support of the Ronald McDonald Family Room's Men in Kilts promotion. More information can be found at www.meninkilts.org.
With so much happening at the Cove, you'll want to get your tickets in advance. Tickets are now available at www.silverhawks.com or by calling the box office at (574) 235-9988. Gates open at 5:30 PM and game time is at 6:30 PM for the Friday celebration.
