The BEARS tied a season high in shots on goal, but were again frustrated by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Wade Dubielewicz. On a night where the Norfolk Admirals and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins lost in regulation, HERSHEY fell 4-2 at the Arena at Harbor Yard Friday 4-2.

Bridgeport struck early in the first period to take a 1-0 lead just 1:25 in. Robert Nilsson scored his 10th goal of the season to lift the Sound Tigers into a 1-0 advantage. The home team would run the score out to 2-0 when Jason Pitton scored short-side against Frederic Cassivi at 13:36. With the Tigers up 2-0, HERSHEY would turn to Louis Robitaille to provide the offense. Following a Dave Steckel shot in front of Bridgeport goaltender Dubielewicz, Robitaille waited out Dubielewicz and scored a backhand goal from close range for his fifth of the season. The goal was the fifth of the season for Robitaille, but Bridgeport would take the 2-1 lead to the dressing room after one.

HERSHEY would tie the game early in the second when Jakub Klepis picked up a Timo Helbling rebound and quickly put it past Dubielewicz. The goal at 2:21 of the second tied the contest at 2-2. A short time later, Bridgeport would regain the lead by virtue of the power play. Eric Boguniecki scored his 13th of the season from Nilsson and Rourke at 5:40 to give the Sound Tigers the 3-2 lead. Despite firing 15 shots at Bridgeport's Dubielewicz in the second period compared to the six that Cassivi faced, the BEARS trailed by one entering the third.

The BEARS fired 21 third period shots at Dubielewicz, and the University of Denver product would stop them all to earn his 16th win of the season. Jeremy Colliton scored an empty net goal at 19:26 to finish the scoring The BEARS did not lose any ground among the top three teams in the East Division. Norfolk lost in regulation to Albany 4-2 at Norfolk Scope, while Wilkes-Barre/Scranton lost 2-1 at home in regulation against Portland.
