Canucks Recall Reid

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, have announced they have recalled forward Brandon Reid from the Moose.

Reid, 25, is currently sixth in team scoring on the Moose with 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points in 41 games. Reid also played at the Spengler Cup over the Christmas break for Team Canada where they once again collected a silver medal. In his six-year pro career, Reid has played in 247 games with the Moose and has scored 67 goals and 108 assists for 175 points and 57 penalty minutes. Reid was the team's leading scorer back in 2003-04 and 2002-03. This will be Reid's first recall to the Canucks this season. In 10 career NHL games with the Canucks, he has two goals and four assists for six points.

Reid was originally drafted by the Canucks with their seventh round choice, 208th overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
