
Beckford-Tseu Returns from ECHL Alaska

Peoria, Ill. (February 9, 2007) - Peoria Rivermen General Manager of Hockey Operations Kevin McDonald announced today that goaltender Chris Beckford-Tseu has been reassigned to the team from the ECHL's Alaska Aces, 2006 Kelly Cup Champions, by the NHL's St. Louis Blues.
Beckford-Tseu, 22, has not seen action since January 30 with the Aces but is 7-0-0-0 in seven appearances with a 1.27 goals against average (GAA) and a .950 save percentage. With the Rivermen, the 6-foot-2, 201-pound native of Toronto, Ontario, has registered a 6-4-1 mark with a 2.27 GAA and a .908 save percentage in 12 appearances. The third-year professional was St. Louis' 8th round choice (159th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
On Saturday, February 10, the Rivermen face off against the Houston Aeros at 8:00 p.m. It is Caterpillar Night. The first 2,000 fans receive a Rivermen autographed sports bottle. It is also Taste AH - Hangover Relief Beverage Night. The first 500 fans receive a free bottle of AH. U.S. Cellular's 25 Greatest Rivermen of All-Time Card continues with Dominic Lavoie. The first 2,500 fans receive a Dominic Lavoie player card; Lavoie will also appear and sign autographs. On Sunday, February 11, Peoria hosts the San Antonio Rampage at 4:00 p.m. on an Insight Family Day. Fans receive four (4) tickets, four (4) hot dogs, four (4) Cokes and four (4) bags of Kitchen Cooked chips for just $38 ($70 value!). There is also a post-game skate with the Rivermen; bring your skates. U.S. Cellular's 25 Greatest Rivermen of All-Time Card continues with Tony Twist. The first 2,500 fans receive a Tony Twist player card.
