Medicine Hat, AB - Austin Lotz made 27 saves for his 11th career Western Hockey League shutout backstopping the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 6-0 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday night at the Canalta Centre.

Defenceman David Quenneville had three points to lead the Tigers with a goal and two assists while Chad Butcher netted a pair of goals. Caleb Fantillo, with his first career WHL marker, Mark Rassell and Max Gerlach rounded out the Medicine Hat scoring attack.

The Tigers struck for three goals in the middle period before adding three more in the third en route to their second win in as many days, improving their record to 4-4-1-0.

Medicine Hat also won the special teams battle going 2-4 on the powerplay while killing all six Hitmen chances including a two-man advantage for a full two minutes.

Calgary, now 5-3-0-1, returns to action tomorrow, Sunday, Oct. 18, to host the Regina Pats at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Puck drops at 4:00 p.m. in the seventh annual Hitmen Fight Cancer game in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Prairies/NWT Region (CBCF). Calgary will wear their pink-themed third jerseys and pink laces while using pink-taped sticks. The two face-off circles in each end of the Scotiabank Saddledome will also be painted pink.
