Prince Albert Raiders News Release

Cranbrook, BC - Scoring the only goal of the game with 13.6 seconds left on the clock, Austin Glover lifted the Prince Albert Raiders to a 1-0 victory over the Kootenay Ice on Saturday night at Western Financial Place.

Through 59 minutes, the game was all about the goaltenders as 16-year-old Ian Scott matched 20-year-old veteran Wyatt Hoflin save for save. The Raiders' rookie netminder guided the team through six shorthanded situations before Glover picked up the puck behind the net in the final minute, brought it forward and fired it between the pads of Hoflin. As the final buzzer sounded, Scott recorded his first shutout in the Western Hockey League and Prince Albert's second of the road trip.

Glover's sixth goal of the season was unassisted. He finished the road trip with seven points.

Scott's shutout saw him stop 33 shots on goal, while Hoflin turned away 23 of 24 attempts.

The Ice outshot the Raiders 33-24. Prince Albert went 0-for-2 on the power play, while Kootenay was 0-for-6.

The Raiders complete their longest road trip of the season with four straight wins and hold an 8-2-0-1 record. The Ice fall to 2-9-0-0 on the year.

The Prince Albert Raiders return to the Art Hauser Centre on Friday, October 23, when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors. For ticket information, visit raiderhockey.com or call 764-GAME.
