Thunder To Show Fan Appreciation With Incredible Collectibles

(Trenton, NJ)- The Trenton Thunder, Double A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, will be saying a big "thank you" to their fans on Sunday, August 26th at 1:05 P.M. In addition to a very special collectible statue of Chien-Ming Wang to the first 2,000 fans, each inning the Thunder will award lucky ticket holders with great memorabilia items.
The items are autographed by players like Roger Clemens, Reggie Jackson, Hideki Matsui, Robinson Cano, Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain and Jeff Karstens. Nine Lucky fans will win the 2007 Thunder Card Set Uncut Sheet, featuring Roger Clemens. There are 22 items in all.
"We've been fortunate to have a lot of great players come through Trenton in the last two years and we've been doing some autograph collecting of our own," said Thunder General Manager Brad Taylor. "Now it's time to thank our fans for another terrific year of support and we thought it would be fun to give away some autographs and unique memorabilia that you really can't get just anywhere."
The 22 collectibles will be awarded to "lucky ticket holders". The Thunder staff will randomly select 22 ticket stubs at the start of the game. Fans must have the correct ticket stub and be in attendance at the game to win.
The game and Chien-Ming Wang statue are presented by Verizon Wireless. Because of the rareness of Chien-Ming Wang memorabilia, and his popularity, last year his Thunder bobblehead doll sold for over $500.00 on ebay.
August 26 is the Thunder's final home game of the season. The team will finish the regular season on the road at New Hampshire on September 3. Thunder tickets, including playoff tickets, are on sale now at www.trentonthunder.com and by calling 609-394-3300.
