ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

Tonight, the SeaWolves take on the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Phillies) in the first of a three-game series at First Energy Stadium. The 'Wolves are coming off of back-to-back wins against the Connecticut Defenders over the weekend. Both were come from behind wins for Erie as they trailed by four runs on Saturday and six runs on Sunday...The Phillies come into tonight's game having dropped their last five, including a sweep over the weekend in Trenton. The R-Phils are 3-7 over their last 10 games... The SeaWolves wrapped up the Northern Division portion of the schedule on Sunday and finished with a 24-15 record against the opposite division. Monday was the 'Wolves last off day of the season. The team is now in a stretch where they will play 24 games in a span of 21 days to end the season. All of the 'Wolves remaining games are against the Southern Division...Erie enters tonight's game trailing first place Akron by just a single game. Both Altoona and Bowie are tied for third place in the division and are 4.5 games behind the 'Wolves...Erie sends RHP Eddie Bonine to the bump in the first game of the Reading series. Bonine is 1-0 against the R-Phils and is coming off of a no-decision in his last outing against New Britain...LHP Josh Outman is making his third start for the Phillies since getting the call up from Class-A Clearwater. He took a loss against Bowie in his last outing going five innings, allowing seven runs, three earned, on six hits. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
