Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

Despite two home runs from the Isotopes, the River Cats would pounce for a three-run seventh inning, leading Sacramento to a 5-3 victory over Albuquerque.

The Isotopes offense was once again powered by the long ball with Rafael Ynoa leading off the contest with a home run, his second of the year.

Outfielder Noel Cuevas drove home Tom Murphy with an RBI double in the second inning to boost Albuquerque's lead to 2-0.

The River Cats would even the score in the fifth frame but the Isotopes answered right back in the sixth. Leading off the inning, catcher Tom Murphy blasted his sixth home run of the year to reclaim the lead for his squad.

The advantage would be short-lived for the Isotopes, as the River Cats plated three runs in the seventh inning, chasing starter Harrison Musgrave from the contest in the process. Musgrave tossed 6.1 innings, allowing all five runs.

Despite threatening in the eighth inning, a double play dashed the hopes of a comeback for Albuquerque.

The Isotopes and River Cats conclude their four-game set tomorrow evening in Sacramento. Left-hander Tyler Anderson (0-1, 3.27) takes the hill for the Isotopes. The River Cats will counter with fellow southpaw Matt Lujan (0-4, 4.74). First pitch from Raley Field is slated for 8:05 p.m.
