
Three Hot Rods Selected to MWL Post Season All-Star Team

Bowling Green, KY - The Bowling Green Hot Rods, in conjunction with the Tampa Bay Rays, announce that RHP Dylan Floro, C Luke Maile, and OF Andrew Toles have been named to the 2013 Midwest League Post Season All-Star Team. The team was selected by the Field Managers of the 16 Midwest League member clubs.
Floro, 22, currently leads the Midwest League with a 1.81 ERA and was chosen as the league's best right-handed starting pitcher. The Merced, CA native had an impressive run of nine straight quality starts from June 6 to July 31 before his promotion to the Advanced-A Charlotte Stone Crabs of the Florida State League.
Maile, 22, was chosen as the league's best catcher and is hitting .283 with the Hot Rods with 32 extra-base hits and 49 runs batted in. The Edgewood, KY native threw out 36 of 70 base runners and is currently on the 7-Day Disabled List.
Toles, 21, joins Byron Buxton and Adam Brett Walker, both of Cedar Rapids, as the three outfielders chosen for the team. The Tyrone, GA native currently leads the league with a .327 batting average, 62 stolen bases, 167 hits, and 15 triples.
The final road series of the 2013 regular season continues from Coveleski Stadium in South Bend on Friday night at 6:35 PM CDT. Bowling Green will give the start to LHP Blake Snell (4-8, 4.14), while South Bend will send RHP Blake Perry (7-7, 4.77) to the mound. Coverage begins at 6:05 PM CDT with Hank Fuerst leading the Forever Communications Pregame Show on the Hot Rods Radio Network (1340 "The Ticket" WBGN-AM, 1340wbgn.com, and on the TuneIn website and app).
Bowling Green's final homestand of the season will begin this Saturday with game one of a three-game series against the Lake County Captains. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM CDT on Pink in the Park Night, featuring a Hot Rods jersey auction with proceeds benefitting BRASS and The Mary Kay Foundation. Saturday's game will be capped by Post-Game Fireworks presented by WBKO.
