
Mark Haley Selected Midwest League 2013 Manger of the Year

South Bend, Indiana - The Midwest League has announced the2013 Post Season All-Star Roster. The team was selected by the Field Managers of the sixteen Midwest League member clubs and two Silver Hawks have been selected. Silver Hawks' 3rd baseman Brandon Drury and pitcher RJ Hively are post season All-Stars.
Drury is 8th in the league with a batting average at .304, 2nd in the league with 156 hits and 2nd in the league with a .505 slugging percentage, 69 extra base hits, which leads the league and 2nd in total bases with 156. Hively is 1-0, 19 saves with ERA of 1.23. Hively is 2nd in the league with 19 saves, despite being promoted to Visalia Rawhides in June.
In addition to the two Silver Hawks player, Mark Haley has been selected by his peers as the Manager of the Year for the 2013 season. Haley has been with the South Bend Silver Hawks since 2005 and was named Manager of the Year in the Midwest League in 2005. His 2013 team will be his 6th Silver Hawks team to qualify for the Midwest League Playoffs. The 2005 team captured the Midwest League Championship. The 2013 team has secured a spot in the 2013 Playoffs and will play at the Coveleski Regional Stadium September 5th.
